Job description

After School Program Coordinator
● Organization: Bradenton Dream Center
● Position Status: Part-time
● Position Prerequisite: Over 18 years of age
● Work Schedule: 25 hours per week
The Bradenton Dream Center is seeking an organized, mission-driven, and energetic Program Coordinator to provide daily leadership and operational oversight for our After School Program.
As a key member of the team, you will bridge the gap between high-level vision and daily
execution, ensuring that our programs are delivered with excellence, safety, and spiritual integrity.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for the team, managing daily logistics, supporting
our Program Instructors, and fostering a nurturing, Christ-centered environment where students
can thrive.

Primary Responsibilities

Administrative
  • Schedule, manage, and provide daily direction to the weekday teams and Program Instructors.
  • Communicate and collaborate directly with students, parents, and volunteers.
  • Ensure that curriculum, resources, and supplies are readily available for instructors and students.
  • Provide daily updates and status reports to the Program Director.
  • Champion the Planning Center system and utilize it consistently throughout the department.
  • Assist with volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and student registration processes.
Programming
  • Provide structural guidance and implement for all after-school programs and activities with excellence.
  • Provide daily direction and updates for the serving team.
  • Foster and maintain healthy, meaningful relationships with the staff, students, and families.
  • Oversee the direct delivery of a broad range of core programs, including but not limited to: Transportation, Food/Snacks, Academic Support, and Character/Spiritual development.
  • Cultivate an environment that actively promotes and supports Bradenton Dream Center values.
  • Ensure that strict safety protocols are followed and the overall quality of the program is maintained.
Secondary Responsibilities

Bayside Community Church
  • Attend Bayside Community Church weekend services.
Bradenton Dream Center
  • Attend local partnership events (e.g., local schools).
  • Assist with community outreach and Dream Team events as needed.
  • Attend monthly Bradenton Dream Center staff meetings.
Qualifications amp; Requirements
  • Schedule Availability: Program oversight is required on-site daily during after-school operational hours (typically 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM).
  • Education amp; Experience: High School Diploma/ Associate’s degree and/or equivalent experience working with children preferred.
  • Certifications: CPR and First Aid Certifications preferred.
  • Driver's License: Valid State Driver's License and the ability/willingness to drive a 15-passenger van.
  • Clearances: Must pass a pre-employment background check and fingerprinting screening.
  • Core Skills: Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Language: Spanish speaking and the ability to translate is highly preferred.
  • Leadership Traits: Proven ability to motivate children, manage behavior problems, and proactively solve unexpected problems. Must be self-motivated, flexible, and maintain a collaborative teamwork attitude.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
