Job description

It all started with an idea at Block in 2013. Initially built to take the pain out of peer-to-peer payments, Cash App has gone from a simple product with a single purpose to a dynamic ecosystem, developing unique financial products, including Afterpay/Clearpay, to provide a better way to send, spend, invest, borrow and save to our 50+ million monthly active customers. We want to redefine the world's relationship with money to make it more relatable, instantly available, and universally accessible.
Today, Cash App has thousands of employees working globally across office and remote locations, with a culture geared toward innovation, collaboration and impact. We've been a distributed team since day one, and many of our roles can be done remotely from the countries where Cash App operates. No matter the location, we tailor our experience to ensure our employees are creative, productive, and happy.
The Role
We are seeking a strategic, innovative, and collaborative Growth Marketing Lead to join the B2B Commerce Marketing team. Designed to drive results for Afterpay and Cash App, B2B Growth Marketing sits at the center of Commerce Marketing and acts as an extension to various functional teams, such as Industry Marketing, Content Marketing, Partner Marketing and more. This team constantly partners with Product, Data Science, Sales, and Account Management to generate qualified leads, identify growth opportunities, and execute audience-specific nurture campaigns.
As the Global Lead of B2B Growth Marketing you'll oversee the team responsible for ABX, Demand Generation, MarOps, and Lifecycle Marketing. You'll set the strategy to deepen vertical expansion, drive engagement with our marketing content, and accelerate automation using various AI tools.
We're looking for someone who can bring both sharp execution and big-picture thinking-someone who can build and run a paid performance engine that delivers against immediate business needs, while not being afraid to test new formats/channels in support of a long-term strategic vision. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Commerce Marketing at Block.
You Will:
  • Manage the individuals responsible for ABX, Demand Generation, MarOps, and Lifecycle Marketing, as well as external agency relationships.
  • Own the core paid performance program across all channels and manage the Growth Marketing Opex.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and day-to-day optimization of paid performance campaigns designed to drive measurable incremental growth.
  • Develop an audience-first approach to our performance media that is rooted in targeting strategy, intent signals, and performance insights.
  • Challenge the status quo by proactively identifying testing opportunities, experimenting rapidly with new and existing tactics, and turning successful tests into scalable acquisition engines.
  • Build future-proofed roadmaps in collaboration with teams such as Product and Data Science - harnessing experimentation, automation, and AI to remove blockers, speed up execution, and improve performance.
  • Collaborate closely with Content Marketing and external agency partners to support the development and execution of insight-led briefs that align with business priorities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the evolving media, commerce, and marketing landscape-bringing fresh ideas and emerging trends into our strategy to stay ahead of the curve

You Have:
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience leading Growth Marketing at Commerce platforms, Fintech, SAAS, or related industries.
  • Skilled at influencing cross-functional stakeholders to drive successful business outcomes.
  • Proven track record of driving new leads and reducing churn via lifecycle retention strategies.
  • Experience with managing Marketing Opex and contracting external agencies.
  • You're solutions-oriented and highly collaborative, acting as a business owner to drive results.
  • You have the mentality that no job is too big or too small.
