Job description

Make a positive impact on students' lives through an important contract opportunity supporting an after-school program near Escondido, CA. This role is designed for passionate Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) interested in working 1:1 with behavioral students as part of the ELOP program. You will assist in managing daily behavioral needs and provide hands-on support, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment both before and after traditional school hours.

Key Requirements:

  • Valid RBT certification and previous experience in schools, behavioral health, special education, or related fields.
  • Comfortable working 1:1 with pediatric students requiring behavioral support.
  • Flexibility and compassion handling a behavioral caseload.
  • Willingness to provide assistance with toileting and personal care when necessary.
  • Availability to work contract dates from August 11, 2026, through June 3, 2027.
  • Reliable and punctual for the following schedules:
    • Morning: 6:30 AM – 8:00 AM
    • Afternoon: Monday 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM; Tuesday–Friday 2:18 PM – 6:00 PM

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, compassionate support to students on a one-to-one basis during before and after school programs.
  • Implement behavioral strategies developed by the educational and behavioral teams.
  • Collaborate closely with staff to promote positive student outcomes and a supportive environment.
  • Support toileting or personal care needs as required, maintaining dignity and respect for students at all times.
  • Accurately document observations and report progress to supervisory staff.

Compensation for this position is $35.00 per hour.
