Job description

We are recruiting an Inventory Control Specialist for a growing manufacturing and polymer recycling operation. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with inventory, solving discrepancies, analyzing costs, and partnering closely with production and warehouse teams.

The Inventory Control Specialist will help ensure inventory accuracy, material availability, lot and batch traceability, and accurate manufacturing costs while supporting the day-to-day needs of the operation.

What You'll Do

• Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods, including cycle counts and reconciliations

• Investigate inventory discrepancies, variances, and work order differences and identify corrective actions

• Process inventory transactions and maintain accurate ERP/WMS data, lot/batch traceability, BOMs, and inventory records

• Monitor material availability, inventory levels, supplier lead times, inbound shipments, and aging or obsolete inventory

• Review inventory costs, material yields, labor and overhead rates, and support standard cost management

• Partner with Production, Warehouse, Quality, and Purchasing to improve inventory accuracy, material flow, and overall inventory processes

What We're Looking For

• 1 to 3+ years of inventory control, materials, planning, or warehouse experience

• Manufacturing, plastics, recycling, or distribution experience preferred

• Experience with ERP/WMS systems and inventory reconciliation, cycle counts, and variance analysis

• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP

• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work effectively across departments
