Salary Range $16.00 - $17.00 Hourly Position Type Full Time Travel Percentage Up to 25%

Summary

Pack all ready to eat food items for delivery based on assigned routes and daily service numbers for morning and afternoon delivery sites. Organize and arrange packed food items in correct order at drive stations in packing area. Assist drivers with loading trucks as needed. Maintain communication with Lead Driver, Operations Manager and Culinary Management to avoid operations problems.

Primary Duties
  • Maintain organized and clean work space in the food packing and surrounding areas.
  • Assists driver with the loading the truck. Also assists with deliveries, when necessary and determined by Operations Manager.
  • Follows all food safety standards as determined by Baltimore City Health Department and Good Harvest Community Kitchen.
  • Accurately pack ready to eat foods based on daily count sheets for each customer site and route.
  • Store product in correct containers, and label packaging correctly to avoid delivery mistakes.
  • Maintain daily communication with Lead Packer, Operations Manager, Lead Driver and Culinary Management to avoid any operations problems.
Secondary Duties
  • Assist drivers with loading, unloading and deliveries and requested by Lead Packer and Operations Manager.
  • Assist kitchen staff as requested by Lead Packer and Operations Manager.
  • Assist Inventory Receiving Clerk as needed and requested by Lead Packer and Operations Manager.
  • Follow schedule and contact immediate supervisor in a timely manner when calling out for a work shift.
  • Creates an atmosphere of care and respect for staff and customers.
  • Attends meetings and events related to St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore.
  • Upholds the vision, mission and values of St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore.
  • Attends and participates fully in all required staff meetings.
  • Other duties assigned within the scope of the position.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED, required.
  • Ability to verbally communicate and write in English
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • A positive work attitude and able to work well with other team members
  • Follow directions and ask questions for clarification if needed
  • Be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
