Hello! We are looking for a dedicated Hot Packaging Team to join the family! Del Real Foods is a traditional Mexican food manufacturer born out of a family farm. Today, Del Real Food makes tamales, carnitas, salsas, and other recipes inspired by the Cardenas' native Jalisco -- all created by hand with fresh ingredients and nothing artificial.

The Hot Food Packing team member I works Under close supervision and following the appropriate GMP’s the employee performs a full range of product packaging assignments using supervisor or other higher-level Management guidance to assure that all products leave the plant in compliance with consumer expectations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Follow all employee safety procedures
  2. Weigh and package product in conformance to specifications.
  3. Ability to read and understand work instructions
  4. Check date codes stamped, and weight information against the daily schedule.
  5. Ensure finished product is properly sealed.
  6. Assist packing team in the completion of their orders:
  7. Must have a positive attitude when helping peers, leaders, or supervisors.
  8. Clean and maintain assigned area in safe sanitary condition, ensuring product safety
  9. Verify that equipment is in good working condition and reports to his/her immediate supervisor when issues arise.
  10. Remain in designated work areas
  11. Informs immediate supervisor/Lead person when product is out of specification and when non-conformances occur.
  12. Takes immediate corrective action when non-conformances occur, which includes reporting any problems to his/her immediate supervisor.
  13. Follow the company’s allergen program

Requirements and Duties:

  1. Must be responsible and fast learner.
  2. Knowledgeable in mathematics
  3. Must have good organization skills

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  1. Able to read write
  2. Minimum 1 year experience on the field (Food Industry is a plus)

After completing an application, qualified candidates will be scheduled for a phone screen followed by an interview with the management team. Selected candidates will then be scheduled for an offer of employment and orientation!
