The Business Intelligence Engineer: ServiceNow Analytics designs, develops, enhances, and maintains ServiceNow-based dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions. This role specializes in leveraging the ServiceNow Analytics module to transform operational and business data into actionable insights that support strategic, tactical, and operational decisionmaking across the organization. 

This is a remote position, and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Allen, TX; Lenexa, KS; Springfield, MO; Monett, MO; Cedar Falls, IA; Louisville, KY; Birmingham, AL; or Charlotte, NC.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Designs, develops, enhances, and maintains ServiceNow dashboards, reports, and analytics products using the ServiceNow Analytics module (Performance Analytics and Reporting). 
  • Translates complex business and technical requirements into ServiceNow-native analytics solutions and documented technical designs. 
  • Designs, configures, and tests ServiceNow reports, Performance Analytics indicators, breakdowns, widgets, and dashboards for operational, management, and executive audiences. 
  • Supports new and existing ServiceNow analytics assets throughout their lifecycle, from initial delivery through enhancement, optimization, and retirement. 
  • Designs and maintains ServiceNow analytic data models, including indicators and historical trending, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and performance. 
  • Applies data governance, validation, and quality assurance practices to minimize data quality risks and proactively identifies data integrity issues. 
  • Collaborates closely with ServiceNow developers, platform architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to align analytics solutions with business objectives. 
  • May coordinate analytics development activities with other platform teams and departments to deliver integrated ServiceNow reporting solutions. 
  • Provides guidance and best practices on ServiceNow reporting, dashboarding, and analytics capabilities to technical and non-technical users. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

What you'll need to have:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in business intelligence, reporting, or analytics
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow reporting or analytics

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Business intelligence experience focused on ServiceNow analytics, reporting, and platform-based data visualization. 
  • Experience reporting on ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, or other ServiceNow modules using Performance Analytics and dashboards. 
  • Experience in banking, financial services, or other regulated environments
  • ServiceNow certifications such as Certified System Administrator (CSA), Performance Analytics, or Application Developer
  • Ability to evaluate complex reporting scenarios, identify root causes, and apply advanced analytical and problem-solving techniques within the ServiceNow platform. 
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into ServiceNow-native dashboards, reports, indicators, and analytics solutions. 
  • Extensive experience with ServiceNow data sources, tables, filters, indicators, breakdowns, scheduled data collection, and historical trending. 
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow data modeling concepts, including relationships between core tables (e.g., task, incident, change, CMDB) and analytics use cases. 
  • Experience with data quality validation, testing, documentation, and lifecycle management of ServiceNow reports and dashboards. 
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow scripting concepts (JavaScript, Glide APIs) as they relate to reporting, indicators, and data preparation. 
  • Strong awareness of data security, role-based access controls, and the ethical handling of data within the ServiceNow platform. 
  • Strong research, project planning, and implementation skills. 
  • Advanced organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
