Torch Technologies is seeking an intermediate level Tracking, Filtering, EO/IR Data Analyst. The ideal candidate will have experience/expertise with electro-optical and infrared data analysis (EO/IR), image processing, and uncertainty analysis. The Data Analyst will be responsible for the analysis, interpretation, and algorithm development to support data reduction from customer test events. A well-suited candidate will be self-motivated, with demonstrated communication skills (oral and written) and capable of working both in a small team and unsupervised.
As an EO/IR Data Analyst your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
  • Analyze EO/IR sensor data, including target detection, tracking, filtering, and signature analysis.
  • Perform sensor data fusion and uncertainty analysis.
  • Support multi-spectral sensor calibration and characterization.
  • Analyze algorithms and their interaction to improve performance.
  • Interpret data, identifying trends, and analyze results using statistical techniques.

Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar) or equivalent experience AND 5+ years of experience in EO/IR data analysis, image processing, and statistical analysis. OR
  • Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar) or equivalent experience AND 3+ years of experience in EO/IR data analysis, image processing, and statistical analysis.
  • Active Secret Clearance with ability to maintain
  • Experience with data processing software and tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, R, Java, or other relevant tools).
  • Strong analytical, computational, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Schedule: M-F; 8-5
