Job Description
Montessori Academy of Broward (MAB) provides a child-centered, developmentally focused education from infancy through 8th grade, nurturing each student's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth. Purpose of the role
The Aftercare Teacher will supervise students in grades K-5 during our after-school program, help maintain a safe and positive environment, and support students with homework completion, enrichment activities, and recreation.
ISP Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and engage students during aftercare hours
  • Assist students with homework and academic support
  • Facilitate structured games, activities, and enrichment opportunities
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and positive environment
  • Monitor student behavior and reinforce school expectations
  • Communicate professionally with parents and staff
  • Ensure accurate student sign-out procedures are followed
  • Support dismissal and transition routines as needed

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
  • Must be 18 years-old and be a high school graduate.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and professionalism
