Date of Posting: July 1, 2026 1st Semester After School Library Supervisor Title: Sem 1 After School Library Supv.Units: 4Location: Marple Newtown High SchoolNumber of Positions: 1Job Description: The After School Library Supervisor ensures students have a dedicated, inclusive environment for study and academic exploration. offers the students a multitude of activities as well as an opportunity to socialize and make lasting friendships.Effective: 2026-2027 School YearQualifications:Experience: Experience working with school age students and establishing an academic environment of collaboration and inclusivity.Skills: Strong managerial, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work with students of varying abilities; familiarity with Schoology and web-based toolsEducation: Valid PA teaching certificate.Essential Functions: Supervise and maintain a structured, safe, and productive library environment during after-school hours, ensuring student behavior aligns with school expectations and supports a quiet academic setting.Assist students in accessing academic resources, including locating books, utilizing library databases, and supporting general research needs appropriate for grades 9-12.Provide basic technology support by assisting students with computers, printers, and other library equipment, and troubleshooting minor issues to ensure continued student access to resources.Execute daily closing procedures, including organizing library materials, ensuring all students have exited the space, shutting down equipment as appropriate, and securing the library in accordance with school protocols.Has read and understands obligations as outlined in MNSD School Board Policies.Other duties as assigned by Administration.
