Job description

Position Summary

The After School Program Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the daily operations, management, and execution of TVT's after school programs. This position ensures a smooth, safe, and enriching after-school experience for students by assisting with logistics, supporting instructional staff, and ensuring adherence to program procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the overall management and coordination of TVT's after school programs.
  • Implement and uphold established procedures for student transitions, including pick-up and drop-off from the regular school day to after school.
  • Assist with instructional needs, including materials acquisition, organization, and management to support after school teachers.
  • Provide support and guidance to TVT enrichment staff and instructors to ensure program success.
  • Serve as acting lead in the absence of the Associate Director of After School Programs to maintain continuity of programming.
  • Serve as a permanent substitute teacher for after school programs when needed.
  • Assist with managing online registration and payment processes for after school Innovation courses and Extended Day programming.
  • Execute established procedures for student dismissal from after school programs.
  • Address student behavior issues, provide support to staff, and maintain open communication with parents to resolve concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues related to staffing, parent communications, student needs, and dismissal.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the after-school program and the school community.

On-Campus Requirements

  • Monday-Thursday: 3:00-6:00 p.m.
  • Friday: 2:00-5:00 p.m.

Qualifications (preferred):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant teaching experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
  • Ability to address performance, behavior, and instructional issues professionally, and in a timely manner
  • Ability to proactively solve issues with staffing, parent complaints, student behavior, and dismissal.
