Job Title: After School Program Teacher Grades K-12

Job Description: Create and lead enrichment activities for youth in grades K-12 according to 21st Century Community Learning Center goals and objectives. Curriculum will be theme-based and incorporate experiential learning opportunities. After School Program Teachers are expected to incorporate student voice into their high quality programming, while bringing unique interests and talents to each club. 

This position will be available at various Falcons Beyond locations. Hours are approximately  3:30-4:30 with flexibility to work 1-5 days per week throughout the 2026-27 school year. Programming will begin September 21st, 2026. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities
  • Create a positive educational climate for students to learn
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions
  • Create lesson plans
  • Utilize various curriculum resources
  • Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served
  • Work with Program Managers/Site Assistants and Coordinator to ensure initiatives are being met
  • Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities
  • Prepare and distribute required reports
  • Observe and evaluate students' performance with Continual Learning Plans
  • Manage student behavior in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures
  • Participate in meetings as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with leading programming, team building, staff collaboration, and effective communication.
  • Experience working with children in an out-of-school-time environment.
  • Experience with students grades K-12.

Required Qualifications:

  • MN Teacher licensure
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with youth.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment.
