Job description

Looking to make a difference in an innovative and dynamic non-profit agency? UCP of Central Florida unlocks the potential of thousands of children each year at our campuses, pediatric therapy clinics and parent support programs.

Job Summary:

The After School Enrichment Program Assistant supports a group of 12-18 students (ages 3-11 years) in providing academic, fitness, arts/music and STEM enrichment activities during UCP After School Enrichment Program.

  1. Organize daily materials for all lessons & activities, deliver UCP After School lesson plans, facilitate the daily program schedule for group of students.
  2. Supervise and engage with group of students - monitor and assist children during large group, small group and individual instruction.
  3. Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure the attention, safety and well-being of all students. Implement Discipline Policy as needed.
  4. Create a classroom culture that encourages group thinking, curiosity and discovery
  5. Ensure students are signed in and out via Brightwheel.
  6. Communicate any parent concerns to Site Coordinator.
  7. Provide basic care giving duties (utilizing universal health and safety precautions) for children, including, but not limited to changing diapers, feeding children, and cleaning children's hands, faces etc.
  8. Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

  • Experience working with students with and without disabilities in a classroom/recreational setting
  • Experience with arts/music and STEM activities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
