KidsTek helps prepare students for academic, career and personal success by increasing tech literacy at Colorado’s highest-needs schools!

Do you like to work with elementary students? Would you like to make a difference in children’s lives while also having fun?

KidsTek is seeking an after-school computer instructor to teach at schools in Aurora. We are looking for an instructor experienced in teaching elementary school ages.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

KidsTek's mission is to increase technology literacy at Colorado's highest needs schools by providing tuition-free computer skills classes.

The Computer Instructor will lead and coordinate all computer lab activities including lesson preparation and instruction. Programs are held at local schools using their computers.

Instruction includes preparing and teaching progressively advanced computer skills through fun class projects. These projects use the power of the internet, the most used productivity software, and multimedia applications.

REQUIREMENTS

KidsTek is seeking candidates that have a background in working with diverse groups of children, a background in education and computer skills, including proficiency with the most common productivity software and online activities. Candidates must have solid classroom management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment that demands patience, flexibility, creativity, and independence.

LOCATION Elementary schools in Aurora

HOURS

  • part time, 4 days a week, Mon-Thu
  • after-school hours: candidates must have afternoon availability
  • classes are held between the hours of 3:30 and 6:00
  • 12 hours per week

PAY RATE $18 per hour
