Are you passionate about both teaching and creating exciting experiences for children? Do you enjoy leading gym games, playing board games, and exploring the outdoors through field trips? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!

Who We Are: We're a small, welcoming afterschool program that's on the lookout for a dedicated staff member to join our team. Our focus is not only on providing educational support, but also on fostering creativity, physical activity, and a sense of adventure. Our Environment: Nestled on Grove St. in Newton, our location boasts a fantastic facility with ample space for indoor and outdoor activities. Our playground includes tennis and basketball courts, offering endless opportunities for fun and skill-building. Conveniently situated near the "T" (Riverside stop on the Green Line), we're easily accessible and surrounded by a vibrant community.

What We Offer: Join our exceptional team, work in a thriving environment, and enjoy the chance to advance in your career. This position is perfect for those seeking a role that aligns with the school year calendar (September - June), providing stability and consistency.

Position Details: Schedule:

·       Monday: 2:15 PM - 6 PM

·       Wednesday: 11:45 AM - 6 PM
·       Thursday: 1:15 PM - 6 PM
·       Friday: 2:15 PM - 6 PM
Compensation: Your experience matters! We offer competitive compensation ranging from $19 to $22 per hour.

·       Opportunity to create and lead activities in various spaces, such as the gymnasium, art room, or recreation room.
·       Collaborating with experienced teachers if you're new to the field.
Your Contribution: We encourage you to bring your unique hobbies, favorite childhood games, and skills to the table. Share your passion with our enthusiastic kids who are eager to learn and have fun. Camp experience is a definite advantage, and a good sense of humor is a must. At Rec Place, we blend classic traditions with fresh, staff and child-initiated activities, creating a dynamic and enjoyable program.

How to Apply: If you're excited to inspire, play, and learn with us, we'd love to hear from you! Tell us why you're the perfect fit for our team and how your background aligns with our mission.
