Job description

Job Title: Preschool Transportation Driver (Part-Time)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–9:00 AM and 2:00 PM–4:00 PM
Pay Scale:

  • Starting Pay:  $19.00 hourly
  • Benefits:  Paid holidays available, safe driving bonus.
Position Summary:
The Preschool Transportation Driver is responsible for safely transporting children to and from the preschool for before and after school care,  to and from Count Your Blessings NM Free PreK program and approved activities. The driver ensures the safety, supervision, and well-being of children during transportation while maintaining a clean and safe vehicle.
Essential Duties:

  • Safely transport children according to established routes and schedules.
  • Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and report maintenance needs.
  • Ensure children are properly loaded, unloaded, and accounted for at all times.
  • Maintain accurate attendance and transportation records.
  • Follow all traffic laws, licensing requirements, and childcare transportation policies.
  • Communicate professionally with families, staff, and school personnel.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle environment.
Qualifications:

  • Valid New Mexico driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening.
  • Experience working with children preferred.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance.
  • Strong communication and safety awareness skills.
  • Preferred CDL, but not required.
  • Must be 25 years of age or older.
Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to enter and exit the vehicle frequently.
  • Ability to assist children entering and exiting the vehicle as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
