Job description

Lucy School is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic After School Sports Teacher to help expand our after-school athletics and recreation program for students in Preschool through Middle School.

This part-time position will lead engaging, age-appropriate sports and movement classes that promote teamwork, confidence, physical fitness, and fun in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Schedule

  • Monday–Thursday
  • 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
  • Additional planning time as needed

Responsibilities

  • Lead after-school sports classes for students of varying ages.
  • Introduce students to a variety of individual and team sports.
  • Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive environment.
  • Ensure student safety and appropriate supervision at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with school staff and families as needed.
  • Set up and store equipment before and after classes.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in an educational, recreational, or coaching setting.
  • Enthusiasm for teaching sports and promoting healthy lifestyles.
  • Strong classroom and group management skills.
  • Ability to foster teamwork, sportsmanship, and confidence.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
