Visual Motion Designer

Bask Health

New York, NY โ€ข On-site

Full-time

Posted 9 days ago

Job description

We are looking for a highly creative and versatile Visual Motion Designer to own the complete video and motion production process for Bask Health-from initial design concept to animation, video editing, and final delivery.

This is a "designer who edits" role. We are not looking for a traditional video editor who simply cuts existing footage or relies on stock templates. You must be capable of building original visual assets, graphic designs, typography, and motion elements completely from scratch (from zero to one). The ideal candidate combines a strong graphic design foundation with high-level After Effects animation and video editing expertise. You will report directly to our Creative Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop motion concepts, visual treatments, storyboards, mood boards, and animatics.
  • Design Original Assets: Create custom vector graphics, illustrations, graphic layouts, and typography from scratch in Illustrator/Photoshop before animating them.
  • Motion Design & Animation: Create kinetic typography, logo animations, transitions, 2D/3D visual elements, explainers, and branded motion assets in Adobe After Effects.
  • Full Video Integration: Combine motion graphics, custom designs, video footage, sound effects, voiceover, and color grading into polished final assets.
  • Maintain an exceptionally high level of craftsmanship across motion, color, typography, and overall visual style, strictly adhering to Bask Health brand guidelines.
  • Produce motion content for marketing campaigns, social media, product announcements, web experiences, and digital ads.
  • Adapt motion assets for multiple aspect ratios, formats, and digital platforms.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in motion design, graphic design, animation, or video editing.
  • Must-Have:ย Proven ability to design static graphic assets and layouts from scratch before animating them.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Obsession with craftsmanship, timing, typography, and high visual standards.
  • Strong communication skills, high energy, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple motion projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
