AFSO Job Summary

As AFSO, you will assist the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in ensuring MI Technical Solution's (MITS) Industrial Security Program compliance with DCSA, DoW, and company security policies to include establishing, maintaining, following, and documenting proper procedures or guidelines through administrative work and other tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct employee security in-processing and out-processing.
  • Process and manage personnel security clearances, investigations, notifications, and Supplemental Information Requests.
  • Manage security training program (i.e., initial, annual refresher, security awareness, etc.).
  • Maintain call lists for company facilities.
  • Issue and manage physical security access requirements (i.e., visitor logs, badges, alarm, etc.).
  • Conduct security checks (i.e., cameras, ceiling, buildings, employee searches, End of Day activity completion, etc.).
  • Process incoming and outgoing visit requests.
  • Process country clearance requests and conduct foreign travel briefings and debriefings.
  • Assist with enforcing security policies and procedures outlining requirements for safeguarding and destruction of classified material.
  • Process document control requests for incoming and outgoing classified material.
  • Maintain classified inventory register.
  • Manage secure area access.
  • Oversee company CUI processes and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for areas of responsibility.
  • Obtain necessary accounts to perform required tasks.
  • Assist with annual self-inspections.
  • Perform other functions and duties as required.
Requirements
  • Must have and ability to maintain active DoW security clearance
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or 5+ years of work experience.
  • Experience working with Corporate Executives including the following: provide status updates, ensure compliance with requirements, and provide guidance on security related questions or concerns.
  • Have a working knowledge of DCSA security related applications (i.e., DISS, NBIS, SWFT, etc.) is a plus.
  • Detail oriented professional able to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Above average experience with Microsoft Office 365 (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Work may involve sitting for extended periods.
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.
  • Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of industrial/commercial facilities where necessary.
  • Ability to adjust work schedule during peak times.
  • Travel may be required, as needed.
