Job purpose:

The Cocoa Trader- EMEA will be responsible for growing our existing cocoa business into the European and African market. This is a unique opportunity for a qualified candidate to join one of the fastest growing merchants in the cocoa market with deep market expertise and long standing relationships.ย 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of all aspects of the European and African cocoa business strategy
  • Integrate with the existing cocoa team ensuring collaboration and coordination
  • Develop both supply and buying relationships of cocoa bean and products where they do not already exist with a focus on the European and African region
  • Actively manage day to day activities around origin procurement, logistics, and sales
  • Collaborate with adjacent teams related to financial risk management, credit risk management, and trade operations
  • Ensure accuracy in daily P&L tracking
  • Develop cross marketing opportunities with broader StoneX activities related to derivative brokerage
  • Participate at industry events and positively raise the profile of StoneX within the industry community
Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

  • Extensive trading experience within cocoa and deep knowledge of the European and African market
  • Demonstrated track record of delivering positive P&L results
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make commercial decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational capabilities.
