HoneyCoin is building modern cross-border payment infrastructure that enables businesses and individuals to move money seamlessly across Africa and beyond. Our ambition is to make multi-currency payments faster, simpler and more reliable for customers operating across markets.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a commercially driven Head of Sales - Africa to own HoneyCoin’s commercial strategy, revenue growth and sales execution across the continent. This is a hands‑on leadership role for a builder who can win complex enterprise business, establish strategic partnerships and create the systems, team and operating cadence required for sustainable growth. You will work closely with the CEO and partner with Product, Marketing, Operations, Compliance and Finance to translate customer needs into compelling solutions and successful market execution.

  • 8+ years of progressive B2B sales or business development experience, including at least 3 years leading sales teams.
  • Strong experience in fintech, payments, banking, financial services or relevant B2B SaaS and technology environments.
  • Demonstrated success owning and exceeding revenue targets in complex enterprise sales cycles.
  • Experience building strategic partnerships and selling to banks, fintechs, payment providers or large enterprises.
  • Strong commercial judgement, negotiation skills and confidence engaging C‑suite decision-makers.
  • Experience building or scaling a sales function in an early‑stage or high‑growth company.
  • Strong command of sales forecasting, CRM discipline, pipeline analytics and performance management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Willingness to travel across Africa.
  • Experience in cross‑border payments, payment infrastructure, treasury, multi‑currency products, API sales or multi‑country commercial leadership will set you apart.
  • Develop and execute HoneyCoin’s pan‑African B2B sales strategy and own revenue targets, sales plans, pipeline coverage and forecasting.
  • Lead complex consultative sales cycles from prospecting and discovery through solution design, negotiation, contracting and close.
  • Build senior relationships with banks, fintechs, payment providers, large enterprises and ecosystem partners.
  • Build, coach and manage a high‑performing sales team with clear targets, territories and development plans.
  • Create repeatable sales processes, disciplined pipeline reviews, deal strategy and performance reporting.
  • Implement the CRM, dashboards and analytics needed to improve visibility, conversion and sales efficiency.
  • Partner with Product, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Finance and Marketing on market expansion, product launches and strong customer delivery.
  • Represent HoneyCoin in executive customer meetings, industry conferences and strategic partner discussions.
