The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a Full-Time AIRCRAFT MECHANIC SUPERVISOR, WS-8852-15, to work at the Air Force Materiel Command, (AFMC) in the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) in the Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC) with 309 AMXG at JBSA RANDOLPH AIR FORCE BASE located in BEXAR COUNTY, TX. The primary purpose of this position is to exercise technical and administrative supervision over subordinate supervisors and workers in accomplishing trades and labor work of Aircraft Production ad associated mechanical repair work.
The organizational location of this position is: Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC)/ Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC)/ Randolph Air Force Base, TX/ Ogden Air Logistics Complex (OO-ALC)/ 309 AMXG/ MXD
The organizational goals or objectives of this position are to provide second level supervision to employees performing maintenance, repair, overhaul, and modification of assigned aircraft.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Obtain & maintain Security clearance
- This may be a designated Drug Testing Position
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (if applicable)
- The employee may be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours to include overtime, and/or days, swings, or owl shifts.
- The employee may be required to work during base exercises, contingencies or emergency situations.
- The employee may occasionally travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft IAW Joint Travel Regulations to other government installations, contractor facilities, or other commercial Locations for both training and mission accomplishment.

1. Knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of trade(s) and/or craft(s) supervised and personnel management policies, practices, and procedures, including sexual harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity/ Equal Employment Treatment.

3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and technical specifications.
4. Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission.
5. Ability to manage overall direction and coordination of subordinate work activities and functions and implement sound personnel policies, practices, and procedures through one or more levels of subordinate supervisors.
