Job description

Radiologic Technologist

Elitra Health /Affiliated Physicians is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to perform screening Mammography, CT, XRAY and Dexa scans.

Further job description includes:

  • Specializes in the production of screening mammograms for the detection of breast cancers and lesions.
  • Licensed and experienced with Mammo, CT, DEXA and X-Ray scanning, processes and procedures.
  • Prepares patients for the radiology procedure.
  • Explains procedures to the patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Practices radiation protection techniques by using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding skills.
  • Follows prescribed safety standards in operating all required equipment.
  • Examines digital images for image quality.
  • Insures equipment is in proper working order at all times.
  • Performs all required QA testing required to comply with MQSA, ACR and State requirements/regulations.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Processes routine paperwork and all required data entry.
  • Prepares all required reports and data pursuant to MQSA and State requirements.
  • Excellent customer service and high quality clinical skills are required.
  • Must be certified in the state of NY.
  • Hours 6:45am - 2:45pm

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Medical Imaging Technicians: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • ARRT Certification (Required)
