Due to the exploding market of Auto Racing, we are looking for a team member that enjoys daily or weekly goal setting and teaming up to exceed expectations. The ideal candidate is eager to join a team of experts to learn from and work with. The ideal candidate shows enthusiasm and a passion for excellence.
Job Overview:
  • Assist in building and tuning racing shock absorbers to the highest quality standards and closest tolerances.
  • Operate test equipment, such as a shock dynamometer, to verify if the shock's performance meets standards.
  • Maintain a clean work environment including tools and test equipment, both between jobs and at the end of the day.
  • Follow current processes and procedures but not be afraid to discuss other ideas for improved efficiency and/or quality.
  • Assist in shock building, track testing, durability testing and documenting test result data, even test failures for possible future use, of prototype and production parts

What you'll need to succeed in this position:
  • Must be able to operate/read measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, dial indicators etc.
  • Must be able to stand and work with your hands continually, manipulating shock internals.
  • Must recognize and acknowledge the high moral quality and goodwill of the company.
  • Understanding of data acquisition and data analysis is a plus.
  • Must understand and acknowledge that the employee is exposed to trade secrets or other information that is proprietary to AFCO and must agree to maintain the confidentiality of both.
