Position Summary

Aetna International Sales Vice President - Northeast

**We are seeking qualified candidates in the Northeast region of the US for this opportunity**

**In addition to a base salary, this role is eligible for Sales Incentive Commissions**

As the Sales VP, you will drive revenue growth by building a robust sales pipeline and consistently closing high-value deals for Aetna International. This role focuses on developing and executing strategies to acquire new international accounts, ensuring measurable impact on sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pipeline Development & Growth
    • Proactively identify and pursue new international business opportunities, leveraging market insights to build a strong pipeline of qualified prospects.
    • Implement targeted strategies to expand reach into new growth channels and emerging markets.
    • Maintain a disciplined approach to pipeline management, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely progression of opportunities.
  • Deal Closure & Revenue Maximization
    • Lead complex negotiations and consult on challenging renewals to secure profitable agreements.
    • Position Aetna's full product portfolio to meet client needs and deliver compelling value propositions that drive conversion.
    • Execute finalist presentations with precision, influencing decision-makers and move opportunities to close.
  • Client, Consultant/Broker and Domestic Team Engagement & Relationship Building
    • Cultivate influential relationships with key stakeholders to accelerate deal cycles and strengthen long-term partnerships.
    • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver seamless sales execution, from proposal through installation and servicing.
    • Collaborate with Aetna's domestic sales teams to cross-sell to existing domestic customers.
    • Foster relationships with brokers and consultants to achieve active promoter status with key individuals within the consultant centers of excellence.
  • Market Intelligence & Strategic Positioning
    • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities for differentiation.
    • Represent Aetna International at industry events to enhance brand visibility and generate new leads.
  • Sales Leadership
    • Own the end-to-end sales process, including RFP responses, quoting, and strategic planning.
    • Partner with internal teams to refine sales materials and develop persuasive presentations that win business.

Experience & Skills Required

  • 5-7 years of proven success in international/expatriate benefits sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage a high-performing sales pipeline.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of closing complex, high-value deals.
  • Persuasive presentation and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence buying decisions.
  • Deep understanding of business financials, products, and services.
  • Salesforce expertise, including report development is desired but not required.
  • Established relationships with Brokers in the region.
  • Must be Health & Life licensed.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experience.

The typical pay range for this role is:

$83,050.00 - $189,964.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
