Dental Lab Implant CAD/CAM Designer
Location:
Winston-Salem, NC
Full-Time
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Standard daytime production schedule with flexibility based on workflow demands.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Dental CAD/CAM Designer to join a rapidly growing milling center focused on implant restorations, custom abutments, bars, crowns, bridges, and advanced restorative manufacturing. This is a hands-on production role designed for a strong “doer” who can immediately contribute to daily design workflow and support increased production capacity.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, technically proficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where precision, consistency, and turnaround time are critical. This opportunity is ideal for a designer who enjoys problem-solving, collaborating with a technical team, and working with advanced implant and restorative cases on a daily basis.
About the Opportunity:
This family-owned milling center specializes in high-precision implant and restorative manufacturing for dental laboratories and implant organizations nationwide. The organization is actively expanding operations and expects to significantly grow production capacity over the next year.
The environment combines advanced technology, collaborative teamwork, and the ability to work on complex restorative cases while maintaining exceptional consistency and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design custom abutments, implant bars, crowns, bridges, veneers, and restorative cases.
  • Collaborate with internal production and milling teams to ensure accurate manufacturing outcomes.
  • Review and verify design quality prior to production.
  • Support troubleshooting and problem-solving related to restorative design cases.
  • Maintain precise digital workflows and file organization.
  • Assist with printed model design and digital workflow improvements as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding case requirements and timelines.
  • Participate in paid working interviews and case review processes when requested.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3+ years of dental CAD/CAM design experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in at least two of the following platforms:
    • Exocad
    • 3Shape
    • Hyperdent
    • Millbox
  • Strong experience with implant restorations and custom abutment design required.
  • Experience designing crowns, bridges, veneers, and implant bars.
  • Understanding of digital restorative workflows and manufacturing processes.
  • 3D printing and printed model experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining production accuracy.
  • Portfolio and case examples required as part of the interview process.
