Monmouth County, NJ | Full-Time
We are looking for a skilled, detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join the clinical team at Lombardi Plastic Surgery Center - a well-established plastic surgery and medical aesthetics practice where hands-on clinical care meets cosmetic and aesthetic innovation. This role offers genuine variety: you'll support providers across both medical and aesthetic/med spa services, play a meaningful role in patient education and aesthetic consultations, and be a key contributor to a fast-paced, collaborative environment. If you have a true passion for skincare, anti-aging, and aesthetic medicine, we'd love to meet you.
KEY BENEFITS
  • Health: Health, Dental, and Vision insurance + mental health and wellbeing support
  • Retirement: 401(k) with company match
  • Time Off: Paid time off and paid company holidays
  • Perks: Premier pricing on retail and services, company-paid life insurance, various voluntary insurance options
  • Education: Tuition reimbursement available
  • Compensation Range: $20-$25 per hour

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Escort patients to exam rooms; obtain history, vital signs, and update medication lists
  • Prepare exam rooms based on scheduled procedures and anticipate provider needs
  • Support providers during aesthetic and cosmetic treatments (e.g., injectables/neurotoxins, dermal fillers, laser, microneedling, chemical peels) and clinical procedures within your scope
  • Educate patients on treatment plans, medication use, and follow-up expectations
  • Complete pathology and laboratory requisition forms accurately
  • Provide room turnover, treatment-room setup, and instrument sterilization for both medical and aesthetic services
  • Monitor and communicate supply needs to avoid shortages
  • Support front desk operations and additional clinic tasks as needed

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required
  • Strong knowledge of EMR systems, medical terminology, and clinical procedures
  • Experience with patient follow-up - treatments, test results, prescriptions, and insurance
  • Clear, concise communication skills with the ability to educate patients on treatment plans and post-care protocols
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA regulations with strict adherence to infection control and sterile technique
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Professional, courteous, and collaborative - with the ability to anticipate provider needs
  • Flexibility to work across all locations based on business needs.

Preferred
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Prior experience in a medical spa, med spa, dermatology, cosmetic, or plastic surgery setting
  • Familiarity with aesthetic treatments: injectables, neurotoxins (Botox/Dysport), dermal fillers, laser hair removal, IPL/photofacials, microneedling, RF microneedling/Morpheus8, chemical peels, dermaplaning, HydraFacial, CoolSculpting/body contouring, PDO threads
  • Strong understanding of skin anatomy, skincare, and common aesthetic terminology and treatment types
  • Experience collaborating with aestheticians, injectors, and aesthetic providers
  • Experience with cosmetic/aesthetic treatments and inventory management
  • Familiarity with Nextech EMR
