Job description

Job Title: Structural Welder
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder to work on the dry dock. This role involves fabricating and assembling metal structures and components based on engineering drawings and specifications. It requires proficiency in various welding techniques and a commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural welding on the dry dock.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components based on engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Operate a forklift to move materials and equipment as needed.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge to perform tasks such as rigging, general layout, and plasma cutting.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Flux Core, Stick, Pipe, and MIG welding.
  • Experience in structural welding and construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Fabrication or welding experience required.
  • MIG, TIG, and Stick welding experience is a must.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 6am to 4pm, and Saturdays from 6am to 2:30pm. A quick-paced environment with a focus on precision and quality is maintained, and a 30-minute lunch break is provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
