Luminator is seeking a highly capable Sr. Aerospace Certification Engineer for our Lighting & Software Systems. You will support the certification and regulatory compliance of interior and exterior aircraft lighting systems and software-controlled electronics across multiple commercial and business aircraft platforms.
In this role, you'll work hands-on with engineering, test labs, and customers to demonstrate compliance with FAA/EASA airworthiness requirements and help bring innovative lighting and control systems to market. This is a great opportunity for an engineer looking to grow their expertise in aircraft certification within a Tier 1 supplier / STC environment.

" What You'll Do:
  • Support certification planning and execution for aircraft lighting and control systems
  • Prepare compliance documentation, qualification test plans, procedures, and reports
  • Coordinate environmental qualification testing (DO-160) and photometric performance
Testing:
โ€ข Contribute to system safety analyses and installation approvals
โ€ข Work with engineering teams, suppliers, customers, and regulatory representatives
โ€ข Participate in certification reviews, audits, and test events
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in aerospace, avionics, or regulated product development
  • Familiarity with FAA/EASA certification processes or compliance testing
  • Experience with lab or environmental testing (DO-160 or similar
  • Strong technical writing and organizational skill
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams

Preferred Qualifications:
โ€ข Experience with aircraft lighting or cabin/avionics systems
โ€ข Exposure to DO-178C or DO-254
โ€ข Tier 1 supplier or STC certification experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in aerospace, Electrical, Systems, Software, or related Engineering field is required.
