Job description

Position Summary

The Aerospace Assembler is responsible for assembling, fitting, fastening, and testing aerospace components, subassemblies, and finished products in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, quality standards, and customer specifications. This role supports the production of mission-critical aerospace and defense products while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and workmanship.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assemble aerospace components, subassemblies, and finished products according to blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Install mechanical hardware, fasteners, fittings, and structural components.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and specialized assembly equipment.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, bills of materials, and manufacturing instructions.
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Perform visual and functional inspections to ensure product compliance with specifications.
Required Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
  • Experience using hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Technical school or vocational training preferred.
  • Previous assembly, manufacturing, aerospace, aviation, or defense industry experience preferred.
  • Experience working in an AS9100 or ISO-regulated manufacturing environment is a plus.
