Basic Qualifications:

  • 0-1 years of experience in aerospace or relevant industry

Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a Processing Tech I n our Torrance, CA location. HFS is a business unit of Howmet Aerospace, headquartered in Torrance, California.  We hold the number one global position in aerospace fastening systems, and we're the North American leader in commercial transportation fasteners. Our high-tech, multi-material fastening systems are found nose to tail on aircraft and aerospace engines. Our products are also critical components of industrial gas turbines, automobiles, commercial transportation vehicles, and construction and industrial equipment.

General Summary:

Responsible for set-up, operation, and maintenance of miscellaneous plating machines, processing of parts, meeting print, and specification requirements.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot plating machine as required.

  • Run Dry Film Lube with both Dip and Spray process.

  • Have general knowledge of Cad and Silver Plate.

  • Prepare daily production reports and forms.

  • Have shift flexibility and work overtime as required.

  • Perform other tasks as needed in support of production team/team leader

  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Lift and/or move up to thirty pounds.

  • Have the ability to read and interpret blue prints, work instructions, policies, and procedures.

  • Working knowledge in manufacturing and quality processes and principles. 

  • Ability to read and understand technical product specifications

  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.

  • Maintains a clean and orderly workplace in accordance with 5S standards
  • Able to lift/move up to 30 lbs
