Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician - Mechanical is responsible for safe, quality, and timely repair and preventive maintenance of various types of industrial equipment, including but not limited to CNC machines, CMM machines, paint booth equipment, Tomograph equipment, UT equipment, and automated sandblaster equipment. A Level II Technician must work well both with others and independently to minimize downtime on production equipment in a fast-paced environment.

This is a second shift position, Monday โ€“ Thursday, 3:15pm โ€“ 1:15am, and includes a 10% shift differential

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)
โ€ข*Perform emergency and routine repairs and preventive maintenance of a, generally, mechanical nature to maintain manufacturing and facility equipment and minimize unplanned downtime.
โ€ข*Install and modify process equipment to engineering specifications.
โ€ข*Perform diagnostics, project work, and other improvement activities in coordination with stakeholders on other teams (Production, Engineering, Quality, etc.).
โ€ข*Comply and maintain certifications, where applicable, with all regulations (OSHA, NFPA), industry standards, engineering specifications, and company policies/procedures.
โ€ข*Perform mechanical-related repairs including, but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
โ€ขProficiently fabricate metal pieces, parts, and structures using cutting equipment, welding equipment, and machine tools-with or without prints.
โ€ขUse calibration equipment to validate tool and machine conformance to standards.
โ€ขApply working knowledge of controls systems to troubleshoot minor machine issues, reset or change machine parameters, and manipulate robots with teach pendants.
โ€ขPerform other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications
โ€ขHigh school diploma or equivalent
โ€ข10+ years of related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
โ€ขStrong computer background to be able to assist OEMs in online machine diagnostics.
โ€ขExperience with CNC machine maintenance and alignment preferred
โ€ขRequired: Capable machining skills
โ€ขIndustrial lift experience preferred
โ€ขProficient user of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and Outlook

โ€ขWalking or standing over 50% of the time; frequently required to reach with hands and arms; frequently required to use hands to finger, handle and feel; required to see, talk and hear
โ€ขRequired: Required: Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, approximately 20% of a standard work day; may be required to lift in excess of 35 pounds with assistance
โ€ขEye protection must be worn in manufacturing areas, approximately 90% of a standard work day.
โ€ขEar protection must be worn during certain operations, approximately 10% of a standard work day.
โ€ขSafety footwear must be worn in all manufacturing areas, approximately 90% of a standard workday.
