Can you describe how an AEL (Assistant English Language) teacher typically collaborates with lead teachers and support staff in a school setting?

As an AEL teacher, collaboration with lead teachers and support staff is central to your daily responsibilities. You’ll often work closely with lead teachers to co-plan lessons, adapt materials for English language learners, and monitor student progress. Regular meetings and open communication ensure consistency in instructional strategies and student support. Additionally, you may coordinate with counselors or special education staff to address individual student needs, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

What are AELs?

AEL can refer to several job titles, but in many contexts, it stands for 'Assistant Executive Librarian.' Their responsibilities may also include organizing programs, maintaining records, and ensuring the library meets the needs of its users. AELs often work in public, academic, or special libraries, collaborating with other librarians and administrative staff.
