Description
Account Executive - Advertising Sales
Position Summary
The Advertising Sales Account Executive is responsible for prospecting new clients and the selling of multi-platform Buckeye Broadband advertising to local advertisers.
The Advertising Sales Account Executive is responsible for achieving agreed upon productivity levels and revenue goals.
The Advertising Sales Account Executive reports to the Market Manager.
There are no direct reports to this position.
Essential Functions
  • Increasing the revenues of Buckeye Broadband through the sale of commercial advertising on Buckeye Broadband cable, OTT, digital, billboard, and social media platforms;
  • Presenting new ideas to clients and explaining how specific types of multi-platform advertising will help promote the client's products or services in the most effective way possible;
  • Developing and maintaining ongoing relationships with small and medium sized businesses in order to increase and retain advertising sales revenue, including using the telephone to make calls, writing letters & email correspondence, and driving to make personal visits to retailers and advertisers;
  • Processing all correspondence and paperwork related to accounts;
  • Delivering advertising proofs to clients for approval;
  • Preparing promotional plans, sales literature, media kits, and sales contracts;
  • Developing and preparing idea focused marketing program presentations and cost estimates for potential Buckeye clients;
  • Meeting the monthly sales activity and revenue goals established for the Advertising Sales Representative position;
  • Performing collections of accounts as needed;
  • Performing reporting functions to specified goals; reports include but are not limited to: Keeping CRM updated, and other projection and forecast activity;
  • Following and enforcing the Company's policies and procedures, including the EEO guidelines and safety, at all times;
  • Performing any miscellaneous department duties as needed.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or the equivalent - required
  • Minimum 2 years of previous outside sales experience - required
  • Intermediate computer skills with the ability to use the Internet - required
  • Experience working with Excel, PowerPoint and Word - preferred
  • Familiarity with contact management applications (such as salesforce or other CRM) - preferred

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
  • Physical Demands:
  • Walking, kneeling, standing, stooping, sitting, driving, hearing, talking, vision (close, distant, color, depth perception, adjust focus), and use of hands and fingers. Light lifting of 25 lbs. is occasionally needed.
  • Working Conditions:
  • The Advertising Sales Account Executive is an entry level full-time, exempt sales position, regularly working 40 hours per week Monday through Friday. In addition, the flexibility to work as needed to meet the customer needs, including Saturdays, Sundays or weekends is required.
  • The Advertising Sales Account Executive works with various office equipment including, but not limited to, telephones, personal computers, printers, fax machines, paper shredders, copy machines.
  • The Advertising Sales Account Executive is required to drive on the job as needed and is subject to regular MVR checks. He/she must maintain a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record the meets Company standards for an insurable driver at all times. Any time these conditions are not met, he/she must not drive on the job and must immediately report it to their supervisor.
