An Advertising Writer, also known as a copywriter, is a professional who creates persuasive and engaging text for advertisements across various media, such as print, digital, radio, and television. Their main goal is to craft messages that capture attention, promote products or services, and drive consumer action. Advertising Writers work closely with creative teams and clients to develop campaign concepts and ensure the messaging aligns with brand objectives. They must be skilled in writing, creativity, and understanding target audiences to produce effective advertising content.

Social Media Management Intern - Spring 2027

CPAC Foundation

Alexandria, VA

$16 - $20.50/hr

Part-time

Posted 20 days ago

Job description

The Social Media Management Intern owns the organization's presence across owned and paid social channels end to end: writing and publishing organic content, building and monitoring paid campaigns, and reporting on what both produced. This is the most complete digital marketing role in the program - most internships give a student either the creative half or the analytical half, and this one gives both.
It also carries unusual responsibility. What an intern publishes is public immediately and permanently, and paid campaigns spend real money under real rules. Three structural constraints apply and should be stated plainly in the posting: the intern does not hold budget authority and works against a capped test budget or in a build-and-recommend capacity subject to staff approval; all platform access is through organizational accounts with multi-factor authentication, never personal accounts; and the intern is not and cannot be the authorized advertiser of record for political or issue advertising, which requires verified organizational identity and disclaimers under platform policy. Because permitted messaging in paid political and issue advertising depends on the legal structure of the entity funding the buy, campaign content and disclaimers must be reviewed by the appropriate staff or counsel before launch.
This role is ideal for: A student who already runs an account with a real audience and now wants the paid, measured, approved version of the same instinct - someone who wants to know not just whether a post landed, but what it cost and what it returned.
