This role works cross-functionally with Ad Operations, Media, Tools, Yield, Product, and Sales to execute against advertiser budget allocations, test and optimize ad products, and manage inventory flows. The Media Operations Specialist also partners closely with the Media Ops Manager on process innovation, strategic media planning, and the development of channel strategies that support business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive GPM, advertiser performance, and revenue goals month over month across Personal Finance, Credit Cards, and other lines of business.
  • Manage inventory health by tracking publisher supply, maximizing fill rates, evaluating new inventory sources, and optimizing existing placements.
  • Monitor performance and make data-driven optimization decisions based on budget fulfillment, advertiser performance, and GPM.
  • Analyze data across verticals and campaigns to surface meaningful insights, identify patterns, and translate findings into strategic recommendations that inform decision-making and drive improved outcomes.
  • Optimize ad product performance, including offer row positioning, qualifier pages, and whole-row clickable formats, and collaborate with the Paid Media team to develop new tactics and features that improve publisher revenue and advertiser performance.
  • Coordinate with Yield, Account Strategy, Media, and Ad Operations on campaign changes, including pricing and budget updates, compliance changes, and more.
  • Assist with the billing process across all supply partners to ensure timely processing and payment.
  • Manage administrative ticketing in Salesforce and JIRA, including rate updates, campaign pauses, budget changes, traffic adjustments, and target allocations.
  • Partner with Paid Media teams on testing initiatives to improve revenue and advertiser performance across network sites.
  • Support Paid Search, Paid Social, and Programmatic channels to drive new channel growth, improve reporting, and assist Media Buyers in developing media plans.
  • Collaborate with Data and Engineering teams to advance reporting capabilities and tool enhancements.
  • Communicate tactical updates, wins, and roadblocks to the Media Ops Manager on a weekly basis.
  • Partner with the Media Operations Manager and Lead on the strategic and tactical development of process improvements, helping to shape how the team operates and scales.
  • Build and maintain team documentation of processes and procedures in Confluence.

About you:
  • 4+ years of experience in yield optimization, inventory management, sales operations, or product management. Digital experience is required.
  • Strong business acumen with proven problem-solving, critical thinking, and project management skills.
  • Solid analytical skills with experience in data analysis, attribution, and ads implementation.
  • Clear and effective communicator across written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.
  • In-depth knowledge of the digital advertising landscape.
  • Proficient in Excel, including working with large data sets and using pivot tables to identify issues, root causes, and trends.
  • The ability to respond to both client and internal inquiries, and proactively prepare recommendations that address potential concerns.
