Job description

This role requires the ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future.

Do you want to lead contractor fulfillment and protect network performance from the tap to the home? As a Manager, Contract Support, you'll provide direction and leadership for installations, service and maintenance across your area while ensuring contractor compliance with Spectrum specifications and requirements. You'll oversee contractor and staff performance to preserve system integrity and deliver a reliable customer experience.


How Youโ€™ll Make an Impact

  • Coordinate contractor management and performance within the Management Area while reporting to the designated Area Vice President and Regional Senior Director of Field Operations
  • Provide oversight of technical operations to maintain network integrity and assure quality and consistency of voice video and data to customers
  • Plan, secure and deploy contractor resources to meet business demands and manage contract labor adherence to scope of work and quality standards
  • Provide technical support and direction to staff and contractors regarding technologies operational standards, monitor procedures and test for compliance with Federal Communications Commission and company standards
  • Manage purchasing budgeting business plan development deployment of new products and capital projects and assist in the preparation and maintenance of capital and operating budgets
  • Assist in the coordination preparation and maintenance of capital and operating budgets
  • Manage staff performance and establish positive employee relations to build frontline leadership

  • Experience in complex structure cabling jobs that include interior and exterior installation of Cat5 Cat6 cabling
  • Experience in programming and installing routers, internet gateway services, layer 2/3 ethernet switches and wireless access points in commercial environments
  • Vendor management experience

Skills

  • Advanced networking knowledge including TCP/IP network designs architectures, topologies, headend operation standards and technical proofs of performance
  • Ability to splice coaxial cable
  • Ability to use safety equipment, climb heights of 32 ft, carry 90 lbs, and operate a bucket truck
  • Operate computer and test equipment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Use hand tools such as drills, wrenches, and measurement tools
  • Advanced knowledge of Spectrum / telecommunications products and services, construction practices specifications installation, and the capital and operating budget process
