Role summary:
Walmart Connect connects supplier brands with millions of shoppers at unprecedented scale, delivering on Walmart's promise to "Save Money. Live Better." As a key part of Walmart's growth strategy, we champion digital advertising that is targeted, measurable, and accountable—using Walmart's unique omnichannel data to prove advertising's impact on customer behavior and sales.
The Manager, MRC Compliance & Technology Risk reports to the Senior Manager, Reporting Compliance and supports Walmart Connect's first-line compliance program. Focused on Media Rating Council accreditation, technology and reporting controls, audit readiness, and remediation, this role strengthens measurement and reporting control environments—partnering across product, engineering, legal, and operations.
About the team:
The Reporting Compliance team at Walmart Connect ensures the accuracy, auditability, and accountability of key advertising metrics such as impressions, clicks, and viewability. Collaborating across product, engineering, legal, finance, and operations, the team implements rigorous audit and compliance standards into scalable controls. Their work supports multi-million-dollar business decisions by maintaining Media Rating Council (MRC) accreditation, providing verified and dependable measurement. The team identifies risks, drives remediation, and continuously enhances control maturity, enabling Walmart Connect’s growth through trusted and transparent reporting that meets stakeholder and regulatory expectations.
What you'll do:

  • Support the execution and development of Walmart Connect's Media Rating Council (MRC) compliance program. 
  • Coordinate audit-readiness activities—control documentation, process walkthroughs, evidence collection, timeline management, and remediation—and document business and technology processes through technical narratives, data-flow diagrams, and key control points.  
  • Assess IT general, automated, reporting, and operational controls; identify technology, operational, and business risks; and recommend practical remediation.
  • Partner with stakeholders on corrective-action plans and coordinate with external MRC auditors on evidence requests and walkthroughs.
  •  Translate compliance requirements for technical and non-technical partners, monitor remediation, and prepare leadership-ready reporting—managing multiple workstreams with strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and continuous improvement.


What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, engineering, computer science, audit, or related field, plus five or more years in IT audit, internal/operational audit, technology risk, risk and controls, compliance, digital advertising operations, or audit/risk consulting. 
  • Experience assessing control design and operating effectiveness; working with IT general, automated, and reporting controls, technology processes, data flows, or system interfaces; and supporting external audits, regulatory exams, or compliance reviews. 
  • Proven ability to manage evidence requests, remediation, corrective-action plans, and audit timelines. 
  • Strong project management, communication, analytical, and critical-thinking skills, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced growth environment.
