Job description

RedCircle is a podcast monetization platform, providing a first-of-its-kind, fully-automated podcast advertising solution. With our ad platform, RAP, advertisers can execute high-scale / high-performance podcast media buys on hundreds of shows in just a few clicks. For podcast creators, RAP provides important revenue and a streamlined system for managing complex ad deals. In short, RedCircle is about getting podcasters paid — while helping advertisers grow through podcast ads.

We’re looking for an Advertising Account Director to join our advertiser-facing team, focusing on high-level account management, designing client strategy, and helping to lead a team of account staff to build a consistent process for delivering high-level customer service over time. In this role, you’ll work closely with Sales during campaign kick-offs, Ad Ops throughout the campaigns, and with company leadership on critical company strategy. You’ll be the go-to point of contact for our brands: answering questions, building strategic media plans, and keeping them engaged with the RedCircle platform ensuring renewals and avoiding churn.

This position is based in Los Angeles or Boston and follows a hybrid schedule (a minimum of 3 days per week in the office).

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of advertiser/client accounts, managing day-to-day relationships and acting as a trusted advisor
  • Own renewal and retention strategy for assigned accounts, identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities
  • Lead quarterly account reviews and more frequent campaign updates; you’ll present performance metrics, campaign insights, and forward-looking recommendations
  • Manage escalations and resolve client issues quickly, coordinating with internal teams as needed.
  • Help detect risk in a client relationship and work to resolve any friction as soon as possible.
Campaign Execution & Performance
  • Oversee campaign setup, trafficking, optimization, and reporting across the client's advertising programs
  • Monitor KPIs (attribution, ROAS, CPA, reach/frequency, etc.) and proactively flag underperformance with solutions
  • Partner with ad ops, sales, and analytics teams to ensure accurate delivery and measurement
  • Translate performance data into clear, actionable insights for clients
Strategic & Cross-Functional
  • Develop account growth plans aligned with client goals and company revenue targets.
  • Design client strategy and plans that span 12+ months, to entwine the client’s strategy with our services.
  • Collaborate with sales on renewals, upsells, and new business pitches involving existing accounts
  • Provide market/competitive intelligence back to product and marketing teams
  • Mentor, provide guidance to, and/or manage more junior account managers/coordinators
Process & Enablement
  • Lead the team in developing repeatable processes that ensure client satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records (pipeline, contracts, notes)
  • Contribute to playbooks, onboarding materials, or internal training documentation
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, billing accuracy, and internal SLAs
Qualifications & Skills Experience
  • 4 to 10+ years in account management, client services, or media/advertising sales, ideally in digital, programmatic, or audio/podcast advertising. A strong preference is given to candidates with podcast advertising experience.
  • Track record of managing a book of business with demonstrated retention/growth results
  • Experience with attribution and measurement conversations with sophisticated senior marketers.
Skills
  • Strong data literacy. Comfortable interpreting campaign performance dashboards and translating numbers into a narrative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; confident presenting to senior client stakeholders
  • Proficiency with CRM tools and ad platforms/reporting tools relevant to the role (Claritas, Magellan, Podscribe)
  • Experienced juggling multiple accounts/project management and deadlines without dropping details
  • Sees themselves as a strategic partner, not just an order-taker
  • Proactive and detail-oriented; catches problems before the client does
  • Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-evolving space (e.g., changing measurement standards, new ad products)
  • Collaborative and works well cross-functionally with sales, ops, and product

Salary Range: $80,000-$175,000, commensurate with experience.

RedCircle is an equal opportunity employer.
