Job description

Fidelity Building Service Group is looking for an experienced Controller who will oversee all aspects of financial management, including regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation alongside the business unit President, and ensure core internal control policies and procedures are followed by the business and its accounting staff. This role will provide the oversight of daily accounting functions and financial reporting to support the business objectives of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily accounting functions, including billing, AR, AP, GL, POC accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Implement robust accounting controls to minimize risk and maintain a documented system of policies and procedures.
• Prepare and publish monthly financial statements; support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Lead the production of annual budgets and forecasts; provide insightful financial analysis to management.
• Ensure accuracy and quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Engage in special projects and generate specialized reports as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures.
• Assist with annual audits and perform additional related duties as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
• 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience is required.
• Construction industry experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Proficient in local sales and use tax filings.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Exceptional skills in accounting software and its administration.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Superior organizational and time management abilities.
