Job description

Mayco International is recruiting for an Advanced Quality Engineer. This position will provide the successful candidates with the chance to apply skills and work as a team within a clean and safe environment.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position will provide analytical and technical support to the Quality and Program Management teams. Primary function of this role is to interact with Mayco Program Management and our customer Supplier Quality Specialists to complete Production Part Approval Packages for new and existing programs.

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Manage Customer PPAP Databases
  • Team Member of Product Development Team
  • Primary Contact for Customer Supplier Quality Specialists and Current Plant Quality at Customer Locations through PPAP
  • Advanced Quality Planning โ€“ Develop Process Flow, Control Plan, PFMEA
  • Maintain Advanced Quality Documentation for life of program โ€“ PPAP Engineering Changes
  • Prepares Executive Summaries for Program Status
  • Design Acceptance related to PPAP requirements
  • Manage testing and timing
  • Develop Material Certification Plans โ€“ Incoming and Outgoing
  • Error Mistake Proofing
  • Perform Product Demonstration Runs
  • Develop Initial Process Studies
  • Manage Production Validation Testing
  • Complete corrective actions for program issues prior to PPAP โ€“ Engineering and Manufacturing issues resulting in less than desired quality.
  • Train Plant Quality on all program requirements for manufacturing and quality processes related to the program.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
  • OEM Ford Experience Preferred
  • 2 to 3 years preferred experience in the industry (preferably with an international experience)
  • Strong analytical and conceptual capabilities team oriented
  • Self-starter, resourceful and organized
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
