Powder Coating Supervisor

American Locker is growing! Weโ€™re looking for an experienced Powder Coating Supervisor to join our team in Las Vegas, NV. The Powder Coating Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily manufacturing activities on the powder coat line.

Responsibilities:


  • Directs activities of employees engaged in powder coating and assembly work and ensures the safety of workers by following safety procedures and PPE guidelines.

  • Responsible for meeting daily manufacturing requirements.

  • Review production schedule and be able to adjust to changes made at any given time.

  • Evaluating department personnel needs, placement of new hires while monitoring effective training and performance of new employees.

  • Inspect all materials and equipment to detect malfunctions.

  • Ensure facility equipment is kept up to standard. Forklift, compressor, etc.

  • Check work at various stages of production to ensure a quality product and to resolve any problems that may occur.

  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Implements procedures or programs to optimize production, improve operations and drive quality of product.

  • Hands on powder coating expertise.

  • Managing the assembly process along with other processes throughout the facility.

  • Improving workflow and optimizing operations.

  • Any other functions as directed by your manager.

Requirements:


  • Must have a minimum of five years powder coating application experience and overall powder coating processes.

  • Solid experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience.

  • Must have excellent verbal communication and writing skills.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and use data to solve problems.

  • Strong computer skills (G Suite & Microsoft Office).
