Machinist Technician
Our rapidly growing technology company is hiring! For over two decades, Advanced Powder Products, Inc. (APP) has been developing and manufacturing complex net-shape components using metal injection molding (MIM) and 3D metal printing technologies for the medical, industrial and defense industries. Our proprietary technologies, ProtoMIMยฎ and Printalloyยฎ position APP as the first choice for some of the largest original equipment manufacturers (OEM) in the country. We design, engineer and produce metal components that improve the performance of our clients' medical devices, hand tools, defense, and sporting goods.

Job Characteristics:
  • This position will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring timely and correct results
  • Problem solving and decision making will be required on a regular basis in area of expertise
  • Cross functionality in knowledge of machining, cutting and product development will be needed

Job Responsibilities:
  • Focus on Continuous Improvement in area of responsibility
  • Prepare and maintain machining equipment in a production environment
  • Monitor rates, feeds, speeds and make improvements to optimize processing
  • Reduce scrap
  • Train lower skilled machining operators
  • Use logic to problem solve and make decisions in area of responsibility on a regular basis
  • Monitor machining equipment maintenance and safety
  • Work with engineering to develop fixtures and processes for new products
  • Other tasks as assigned by the manager

  • Requirements:
  • Technical Certification in related field
  • 3-5 Years Manufacturing with experience in operation of precision machining equipment for the production of manufacturing parts
  • Associate degree a plus
