Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Tech
• Provides assistance to Manufacturing Engineers, Design Engineering, and production departments
• Support development, routing, and implementation of manufacturing instructions to assemble products
• Reviews and approves Engineering Change Orders for BOM structures and assigns labor hours to MES
• Reviews documentation such as manufacturing procedures, BOMS, drawings, and routings
• Assists with pFMEA development to identify failures and makes recommendations to Manufacturing Engineers and Design Engineers
• Provide guidance for preventive maintenance and general repair on equipment or machinery
• Provides specialized training to production employees and technical direction to production trainer
• Assists in prototype development by debugging, modifications, assembly, and testing
• Report out metrics and KPIs
• Participate in Lean initiatives and engage with Six Sigma tools for process improvements
• Interact with internal departments such as Quality, Maintenance, Production, Safety, etc...
Required skills / knowledge
• Completion of a High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 3+ years related experience or training in manufacturing; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization
• Ability to read Engineering drawings and other technical documentation
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common factions and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Able to be a team player
• Strong working knowledge of computers, equipment, and procedures.
