Job Summary:

Advanced Digital Cable, Inc. (ADC) is seeking a Product Design & Data Technician who excels at organizing technical information and supporting the development of innovative cable solutions. The Product Design & Data Technician is the foundation of accurate product documentation and engineering data. In this role, you will maintain product specifications, bills of materials, and technical documentation while working closely with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales to ensure product information remains accurate and production ready. You are a detail-oriented professional who supports new product development, drives data accuracy, and helps deliver high-quality cable solutions to our customers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update product data, Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and engineering documentation within ERP/MRP systems.
  • Support new product development by assisting Design Engineers with product specifications, cable constructions, and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate engineering document revisions and ensure accurate product information is released to manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Sales to maintain accurate product data and support business operations.
  • Review customer specifications and assist in preparing technical documentation for new and existing products.
  • Generate engineering reports, analyze product data, and support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Maintain organized engineering records and document control systems to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Support additional engineering and product development projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering support, product data management, or a related technical role preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience working with ERP and/or MRP systems is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and product documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
  • Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Employment Type:  Full-Time

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this role is $50K to $65K and represents the base pay for this position; actual compensation will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and specific work location. This range is just one component of ADC’s total rewards package, which includes health and dental insurance, 401(k) matching, and incentive bonuses.
