COMPLIANCE INTERN

Kennedy Capital Management LLC is a St. Louis-based, boutique investment firm with more than 40 years of experience in the small- and mid-cap domestic equity markets.  We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Analyst Intern to support our compliance function through data-driven analysis, recurring operational tasks, and daily compliance monitoring.

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Chief Compliance Officer, the Compliance Intern will assist with a variety of compliance-related tasks and projects including client guideline testing, trade surveillance, regulatory support and testing of the firm's compliance policies and procedures.  Candidates must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week in the office during the summer and during the 2026 fall semester.

Essential Functions:

Build, maintain, and enhance advanced Excel spreadsheets used for compliance monitoring and reporting.

Perform data analysis, testing, and reconciliation related to client guidelines, trading activity, and compliance controls.

Assist with daily trade surveillance and exception review; support testing of policies.

Complete recurring compliance tasks; prepare reports and document for internal review.

Scan, organize, and maintain compliance records and documentation; provide general administrative and project support to the Compliance team as needed.

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

Enrolled in college pursuing a business-oriented major, sophomore year or beyond in good academic standing (GPA of 3.0 or higher).

Strong interest in investments, financial markets, or compliance / regulation.

High level of attention to detail and accuracy; strong written and verbal communications skills.

Strong Excel proficiency is required, including frequent use of formulas and functions such as SUM, IF, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, SUMIF(S), IFERROR, data sorting, filtering, conditional formatting, and ability to work with large datasets.

Willingness to work 20 hours per week in our St. Louis office with some flexibility.
