Job description

  • PAY RATE - $30 per hour and progresses to $32 per hour (W2 employment)
  • Rate is based on years of related experience

  • Location: Boyertown Area School District (BASD)
A Registered Behavior Technician / RBT is a paraprofessional who can work directly with students who have significant behavioral and/or instructional needs including students who require daily implementation of a crisis management plan; require complex verbal behavior programming; and/or extensive data collection, graphing, and analysis.
  • The RBT is responsible for the direct implementation of behavior-analytic services including instruction and behavioral support
  • The RBT practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a BCBA
To be successful in this role, you must meet all of the following expectations:
  • School-based cases, must have availability to work Monday through Friday following the academic calendar year
  • General school hours approximately: 7:30am - 2:30pm (secondary) or 8:30am - 3:30pm (elementary)
  • Maintain RBT certification as mandated by the BACB
  • Current certification in both CPR/First Aide and Safety Care Training (De-escalation, and Escorts & Restraints)
Requirements
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
  • HS Diploma or equivalency
  • National certification as an RBT - active
  • Will consider applicants with completed 40 hours of RBT training designed to meet the 2026 training eligibility requirement for RBT certification.
  • Worked a minimum of 1 year directly with individuals with special needs - preferred
CREDENTIALS:
(Clearances current within 12 months)
  • PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • PA Department of Education FBI - Use code 1KG6XN
  • TB Screening - current within 3 months
  • Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
