Job description

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Pottstown School District is looking for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) at Edgewood Learning Center. The Registered Behavior Technician will provide intensive behavior support services to students in-district. The RBT will work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to implement behavior support plans for students that require consistent and significant behavioral support during the school day. The Registered Behavior Technician will meet all of the requirements of RBT certification. This is not an instructional support position, although the RBT may provide some instructional support to students as needed.

*Applicants must have a current and active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification to be considered.

10 month position/187-day

Benefit eligible (medical, vision, dental, prescriptions)

Eligible for $6,100/year in tuition reimbursement

Qualifications:

  • Act 34, Act 114 and Act 151 clearances required
  • Physical and TB test must be presented prior to starting employment
  • Minimum of high school diploma as well as formal training in theories of Applied Behavioral Analysis, or Behavioral Support Interventions
  • Successful completion of the Registered Behavior Technician training course and examination for certification RBT Certification
  • A minimum of 2 years previous experience working with students who require behavior support
