Job description

Northeast Community College is seeking a part-time Adult Education ESL Instructor-Norfolk Nights


The purpose for this teaching position is to provide English as a Second Language and career pathways instruction to adult learners at the Northeast Community College. The position supports student achievement and persistence by creating engaging, learner-centered educational experiences that meet the diverse needs of adult learners. This position is also responsible for maintaining accurate records of attendance and instructional hours, monitoring student progress, and ensuring compliance with all federal and state Adult Education policies, regulations, and reporting requirements.


The hours for this position are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6-8 p.m. up to 8 hours per week


Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.


Experience: Adult teaching experience preferred.


Skills: Requires excellent communication skills, knowledge of computers and ability to learn and operate computer-based learning programs. Must be dedicated to student success and possess the ability to work with non-traditional and culturally diverse learners.
