The Opportunity
The Technical Consultant designs and delivers end-to-end digital experience and commerce solutions using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Adobe Commerce. Acting as a technology advisor, this role guides clients in architectural decisions, platform integrations, and implementation strategies for measurable business impact. The architect leads solution design throughout discovery, development, deployment, and optimization phases, collaborating with business consultants, project managers, and engineering teams to ensure alignment with client objectives and Adobe best practices.


Focusing on content and commerce, the Technical Consultant unifies content management and commerce across channels, defines integration patterns, and leads technical frameworks to deliver seamless omnichannel experiences. The role also supports sales teams with solution estimation and prioritisation, requiring deep technical expertise, leadership, and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilites:

  • Develop and maintain responsive, accessible, and high-performance web applications using modern front-end technologies on Adobe Experience Manager.

  • Build reusable UI components and implement designs from wireframes, prototypes, and design systems.

  • Integrate front-end components with backend APIs.

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend developers, and content authors to deliver seamless digital experiences.

  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness across devices.

  • Optimize web applications for performance, scalability, and SEO best practices.

  • Implement accessibility standards (WCAG) and follow modern web development best practices.

  • Support content teams by enabling efficient content authoring within CMS/WCM platforms.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve UI/UX issues and performance bottlenecks.

  • Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards.

  • Efficiently multi-task, working across multiple client engagements at the same time as well as key internal initiatives.

  • Deliver high quality consulting services to our growing client base and lead ambassadorship in our client relationships.

  • Effectively analyze complex project issues, identify the possible solution options, and facilitate the presentation and review of the options and our recommended solution with the client.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years' experience in the Web and/or ECMS technologies

  • 2+ years of direct client consulting experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as customer relationship building skills.

  • Articulate technical solutions and how they can solve client business problems to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Conceptually understand business requirements and translate them into architecture, design and development activities for our most complex and large Web based solutions.

  • Strong experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.

  • Proficiency with modern frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, node.js or others.

  • Familiarity working with Web Content Management (WCM) platforms such as:

    • Adobe Experience Manager/Edge Delivery Services

    • Sitecore

    • Drupal

    • WordPress

  • Experience integrating CMS content with front-end components and APIs.

  • Familiarity with design systems and component libraries.

  • Familiarity with front-end frameworks that support design systems (Storybook, Bootstrap, Material UI)

  • Expertisein Atomic designmethodology

  • Expertisein Design systems, Style guides, Pattern libraries

  • Strong understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web performance optimization.

  • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and headless CMS architectures.

  • Experience with Git-based version control systems.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

  • Experience with SEO best practices and analytics integration.

  • Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG).

  • Administration and debugging of Web servers, e.g. Apache.

  • Optimizing web solutions and architecting to accommodate performance requirements.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent number years of experience

Expected Pay Range:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $109,000 -- $196,350 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. In California, the pay range for this position is $135,600 - $196,350 In New York, the pay range for this position is $135,600 - $196,350 In Washington, the pay range for this position is $123,800 - $179,300

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
